Product Description

HEPES Solution is a sterile-filtered buffering agent commonly used in cell culture media and biochemical or cellular assays. As a zwitterionic organic buffer, HEPES provides stronger buffering capacity than sodium bicarbonate at physiological pH levels of 7.2–7.4 at 37°C.

It is typically added to media at concentrations of 10–25 mM. Higher concentrations may lead to cytotoxicity. This product is supplied as a liquid in 500 mL packaging and stored refrigerated at +2°C to +8°C.
